NAREL W. COLÓN TORRES
ACTING SECRETARY OF STATE
Narel W. Colón Torres is a professional with extensive experience in interpersonal relations, team leadership, and public administration. She served as Director of the District Office of the Resident Commissioner in Washington, D.C., from 2017 to 2024, where she led the strategic operations of the office, developed plans aligned with the Commissioner's agenda, and strengthened collaboration with government entities and federal agencies.
Previously, she provided professional services at the Doctor's Center in Manatí, coordinating behavior modification workshops. She holds a Master's degree in Pedagogy with a concentration in Counseling, graduating with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Puerto Rico. She also worked in the Department of Education under the Deputy Secretariat of Extended Hours Programs.
Her academic background and professional experience distinguish her for her ability in strategic planning, governmental relations, and solving complex problems. For over a decade, she has presided over the Board of Directors of the Bayamón Museum of Art.
In February 2025, she was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Integrated Services Centers (CSI) at the Puerto Rico Department of State. She currently serves as the Acting Secretary of State.
